Saturday 24th September

After our journey we arrived at our beautiful hotel. We decided to go for a walk to explore the local area after enjoying our lovely lunch, we also had some ice cream as a little treat! We had a great time after dinner in the evening, dancing to the hotel entertainment and getting to know each other.

Sunday 25th September

Today we relaxed around the pool and even joined in with the aerobics class, it was really good fun. Andrew enjoyed splashing around in the pool while Zoe swam and did handstands underwater! After eating our lunch, we found a local ice cream parlour that served us lots of delicious flavours, we were very happy! We spent the rest of our afternoon relaxing poolside; it was a very relaxing day.

Monday 26th September

We had a great day at the beach today, the weather has been fabulous! Matty and Andrew were dancing to the music, whilst Zoe and Robert played some pool, there were some great games! Afterwards, we went to a karaoke bar where Matty sang a solo to the audience that was dedicated to his mum. Andrew followed it up by singing Delilah and Sweet Caroline, he had the audience clapping and waving their hands! Zoe decided to get her friends some lovely bracelets as souvenirs, while Robert bought a smart-looking belt.

Tuesday 27th September

Today everyone wanted to relax, so we had a chilled-out day by the pool. We lounged around until we got hungry, so we went off for our lunch and had some mocktails, they were so good that we kept them coming! We dressed up as WWF fighters later and had our pictures taken in the boxing ring, it was such a fun experience! We capped off the night by going out to a show, it featured an Elvis Presley impersonator who was really talented!

Wednesday 28th September

We went off to visit Alicante Zoo today, Robert, Andrew and Zoe all had their photos taken holding an owl! We managed to see lots of monkeys, tigers and different species of birds, and we had our lunch by the elephant house. Matty was interested in a film crew hard at work, so he decided to join in the fun by using his phone! Tonight, after dinner we all had fun doing karaoke, it was a lovely day.

Thursday 29th September

Today we took a Catta Marine boat across the water and saw a school of blue fish swimming past us! Andrew, Robert and Zoe had a picture taken and transferred onto a bowl, we all bought one to take home with us so we could be reminded of our holiday. Matty chose to go to the bazar and bought himself a lovely chain and a bracelet! We all experienced tapas for the first time today, it was a classic local dish and we thought it was very tasty!

Friday 30th September

We decided to go souvenir shopping today, we found the local shops and started to look around for things we might like. Robert bought a new pair of white crocs and a t-shirt, whilst Zoe found another bracelet to add to her collection. Matty went for a mirror, and we also found a mug for Andrew’s birthday present. We had cake in the evening and celebrated Andrew’s birthday coming up tomorrow!

Saturday 1st October

It was a lovely day for Andrew’s birthday today, the hotel gave him a cake to take away and all of the airport staff wished him a happy birthday! On board the plane he received a birthday card from Jet 2, and everyone was given complimentary food and drinks, it was so cool! Everyone was clapping for his birthday, and we even got to take pictures in the cockpit with the captain, it really summed up the mood of the holiday. Although we were sad our trip was over, we’d had such a great time in Benidorm and made plenty of memories!
