Saturday 9th October

Lou Lou arrived at the caravan and was very happy to see cows & sheep on the hills in the distance. After saying goodbye to mum, Jade and Lou Lou unpacked and made friends. We enjoyed dancing to music on the radio and laughing lots!

Sunday 10th October

Today we went to the Lake District Wildlife Park, Lou Lou enjoyed playing on the swing. We saw lots of animals, cows, sheep, pigs, horses, otters, alpacas, zebras, tortoise and monkeys. We got to feed the goats and baby cows and had lots of fun making animal noises! Lou Lou bought a bubble maker, we had loads of fun blowing bubbles too!

Monday 11th October

Today we took the steam train from Haverthwaite to Lakeside, when the conductor blew the whistle, it made us jump and laugh! When we arrived, we made for the aquarium, and spotted some stingrays who looked like they were waving at us! We walked through a tunnel with fish all around us, then we watched loads of dogs playing outside. We enjoyed a lovely walk along the lake and got to see loads of boats. Afterwards, we took the train back and drove back to Kendal, where we enjoyed shopping (buying gifts and books). We went to dance at the dramathon where it was really loud but lots of fun! We came back to the caravan and blew lots of bubbles.

Tuesday 12th October

Today we drove to Lakeside and took the boat on Lake Windemere to Bowness. It was a nice journey on the water and when we arrived, we ate lunch, feeding the ducks, swans and geese. They were very greedy, nipping our legs and landing on Jade’s head and shoulders, we laughed a lot! After all the excitement, we returned on the boat to Lakeside. We then drove to bowling and had our dinner whilst playing. Finally, we got back to our van and danced to some music on the TV, what a day!

Wednesday 13th October

Today we visited Safari 300, we saw lots of animals like birds, peacocks, bears, giraffes, tigers and monkeys. There were even wolves, meercats, lemurs, kangaroos and wilderbeast! It was a great day, and we walked a lot. Later on, we were feeling a little tired from all of the walking, so we decided to head back to the caravan to relax. We watched Alice and Wonderland in the evening, what a good film!

Thursday 14th October

Today we went to the park in Morecombe, we fed the ducks there and played on the swings. Afterwards we went to the bounce, which was and indoor trampoline. It was lots of fun! We came home and had our dinner, followed by more dancing to music.

Friday 15th October

Today we travelled to Fell Foot Park at the shore of Lake Windemere. It was a beautiful sunny day, so we had a drink at the local cafe. We went for a lovely walk by the lake and fed the ducks. Then we enjoyed our picnic next to the lake. There were lots of boats in the water and some people swimming. We came home and packed our things, then went out for dinner at the Orange Tree Pub, the food was lovely!

Saturday 16th October

Today it was time to make our way home. We said goodbye, and then mum came to collect Lou Lou. We had such a fun, action-packed week, what a lovely holiday!
