Monday 31st October

All of us we excited to start our holiday, we couldn’t wait to get going and start our journey! The ladies all made friends in the minibus on the long drive, but everyone loved their rooms once we were settled in. After dinner, everyone danced the night away and Carolyn managed to win the bingo! What a fabulous start to the holiday!

Tuesday 1st November

Today we walked along the seafront towards Blackpool Tower. We squeezed in lots of breaks for shopping and a fresh fish and chip lunch on the way! Toyin conquered her fear and walked on the glass floor of the tower. We decided to get a cab home in order to save our energy for more dancing and bingo in the evening! Linda sang a Michael Jackson song and Toyin performed a Whitney Houston song at the karaoke.

Wednesday 2nd November

A rainy day today so we spent our time in a pottery shop painting. Cyril painted a skull, Linda a plaque, Debbie went for a teddy with a football, Katherine decided on Father Christmas and Toyin chose a horse. This evening, Linda danced so much she had to sit down afterwards!

Thursday 3rd November

Today was a good day and very action-packed! We went off to visit the Sealife Centre and saw loads of different types of fish. Toyin really enjoyed touching the crabs! We had Subway for our lunch, then it was time to hunt for our fancy dress outfits, Toyin and Linda were really excited! We decided on a fairy theme and got customs dresses with wings, along with a wand to tie our outfits together! We came home through the illuminations, and everyone thought it was magical.

Friday 4th November

It was a full day at the zoo today, the weather was a little cloudy, but we got away with only one small shower! We managed to see a sea lion show which was really exciting, and everyone thought they looked magnificent. Later on in the evening, Linda, Toyin and Deb danced the night away with the cabaret, it was really good fun. To cap the night off, Linda won the bingo! We all celebrated together before heading off to bed to get some much-needed rest.

Saturday 5th November

Today we went to Fleetwood to pick up the pottery which everyone was really happy with. This was followed by a trip to the local cafe where we enjoyed our lunch. Afterwards, we went off to visit Fleetwood Market to look for souvenirs and presents for our family and friends. Katherine bought some wool whilst Cyril got himself a new diary. We also had lots of fun at the arcade playing the two penny slots!

Sunday 6th November

There was a very enjoyable trip to Madam Tussauds for all of us today, there were so many different exhibits to see, and we took lots of photos with all of them! We enjoyed a lovely lunch at the pub, followed by a horse and cart ride for the ladies whilst Cyril stayed with Carolyn to have a warming coffee. We all enjoyed our last dinner together before getting an early night before our day of travelling tomorrow.

Monday 7th November

Sadly, today it was time to begin our journey home. We all said our goodbyes and gathered our things, agreeing that we’d had a fantastic time together in Blackpool!
