Sunday 15th August

After unpacking our things and introducing everyone, we went out for a meal this evening before settling into our rooms.

Monday 16th August

Today we went for a stroll along the Promenade of Boscombe beach where we had a lovely lunch. We went bowling at tea-time and had our dinner at the bowling alley where David scored a strike! We all tried too but we weren’t as fast as David! Afterwards, we went for a walk along the promenade and even had some cocktails at a bar. We met a lovely waiter called Michael and we got our photos taken with him.

Tuesday 17th August

Today most of us went on a boat trip, whilst Sarah and David went souvenir shopping. James and Michelle had so much fun, everyone was really excited when they got to steer the boat! Richard really enjoyed the boat ride. Meanwhile at the shops, Dvid bought himself a Prince t-shirt whilst Sarah decided on a model boat for her dad and some post cards. Sarah very generously treated David to some ice cream! Later in the evening, we had a delicious pub dinner and most of us ate ‘Bad Boy’ burgers, they were amazing!

Wednesday 18th August

We went on a trip to Swanage Station today and had a nice ride on steam train. In order to get to the station, we had a road trip on the Options minibus that took us onto a ferry. We finally reached the island to catch the train, the views were amazing! In the evening we had a pyjama party in Sarah and Paula’s room where we ate pizza and KFC while watching TV. It was a good day.

Thursday 19th August

Today we went to the Shire Horse Centre, we saw lots of animals like llamas, guinea pigs, chickens, turkeys, ponies, donkeys and of course shire horses! Sarah, Richard and Paula decided to go for a cart ride with the shire horses, it looked like so much fun! We then all had lunch outside whilst watching the animals. Later, we went out for an evening meal at the Harvester on the promenade.

Friday 20th August

We took a trip to Boscombe Pier today and had a delicious lunch. Both Sarah and David bought even more souvenirs! Michelle, Richard and Paula stayed at the hotel to have some champagne, how nice! They ate fish and chips and watched the TV. Sarah and David decided to dine out on the pier to enjoy the fireworks, what a lovely day.

Saturday 21st August

Today it was time for some of us to say goodbye to our friends and make our way home. We had a lovely time in Bournemouth and some of us were staying even longer! What a great holiday.
