Sunday 28th August

Today has been a lovely day, David and Mike are firm friends and have been chatting loads! We were all impressed by Adrian who got a difficult answer on the quiz correct, whilst John has been great company. It has been such an enjoyable holiday so far!

Monday 29th August

Today we kicked things off with a trip on the ‘hop on, hop off’ bus, we had great fun on the journey! We decided to stop for lunch on the beach and everyone enjoyed their fish and chips, we watched carefully for the seagulls! In the evening we all had fun watching the entertainment at the hotel, with Adrian, David and Mike having a great time dancing to the live music. To end the night, Adrian managed to win £70 at the Bingo, what a day!

Tuesday 30th August

The weather was great today, so we decided to make the most of it. We went on a fantastic dolphin cruise boat from Poole to Wareham where we had fresh fish and chips again! Adrian drove the boat back and had an amazing time. We stopped off at a local cafe on the way back to grab a drink and some cake, what a treat! The entertainment in our hotel was an Elvis performer, and John started to learn how to play bingo, but there were no big wins tonight.

Wednesday 31st August

We went on a steam train today from Norden to Swanage which everybody enjoyed, then we visited a cafe for a spot of lunch. We enjoyed our sandwiches with a lovely sea view and got some fabulous photos! We also did some shopping, Adrian and Mike bought some music CD’s they liked. This evening we all went to compete in the quiz, played bingo and danced the night away!

Thursday 1st September

Today has been such an exciting day, it was the first day of the air show and we were all looking forward to it! Everybody was marvelling at the Red Arrows, especially Adrian and David who were recording the highlights on their phones! John and Mike very kindly bought fudge as gifts for their loved ones, whilst David and Adrian decided to get some Red Arrows t-shirts, they looked very cool! Tonight, we were off to the quiz, a few games of bingo and listening to Caryn, the hotel’s excellent singer.

Friday 2nd September

Everyone started off the day with a 15-minute walk to the nearby indoor crazy golf course, we all wanted to win! David took the crown after having the best score over 19 holes, but everyone enjoyed the activity a lot. We then made our way into town to have a look around the shops, hunting for more last-minute souvenirs! As we ambled back to the hotel we were deafened by the sound of a passing plane, but we enjoyed getting a good look at the Tornado! Tonight, it was a quiz, a father-son act live on stage and some more bingo!

Saturday 3rd September

Today has been such a fun day, we visited the Aviation Museum and got to see about the plane’s history. We took packed lunches to the museum and enjoyed a picnic whilst watching the planes from the air show take off and land, we had the best seats in the house! We got to sit in the pilot’s seats and get loads of great photos, it was such a fun experience for everyone. Before our last dinner we all agreed that we really enjoyed this holiday and were already looking forward to the next one!

Sunday 4th September

Sadly, today it was time to make our way home today, after packing all of our things we said goodbye and began our journey. Everyone agreed they’d had a great time in Bournemouth and had a fantastic holiday!
