Tuesday 22nd June

Shaun, John, Susan and Tim met up with Kirstine and Jamal to begin their journey up to Cheshire for their holiday, we stopped to pick up John on the way. When we arrived at the hotel the sun was shining, and we had a lovely dinner at the hotel before settling in and unpacking. We later enjoyed watching England play football and win!

Wednesday 23rd June

Today we went to see the Anderton boat lift and enjoyed a lovely sunny walk along the canal tow path. We had a tasty lunch in the beer gardens at Antrobus Arms, before heading back to Chester for a relaxing boat trip up the river to see the famous Iron bridge. That evening we went out for a delicious Italian meal, before heading back to relax after a busy day.

Thursday 24th June

Today we went on the Bala Lake Railway. We had beautiful views of the lake and enjoyed a lovely picnic on board the train. In the evening we went 10 pin bowling, it was a great game with very close scores. Tim got the first strike! We then played air hockey, and on the game’s machines like Mario Kart, Halo and Space Invader. It was a great evening!

Friday 25th June

Today we visited the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, the views were amazing! We then went into Llangollen for a boat drip on a horse drawn boat, it was very relaxing and enjoyable.

Saturday 26th June

On Saturday we drove to Riddle to look around the museum and ride on the steam train. Unfortunately, as we set off a boat came, and they had to open the bridge. We had to wait for it to pass but it meant that we all got to ride on the train twice and look on the footplate on the steam train! Everyone agreed that we had a great day, and that evening we went out for a lovely Italian meal.

Sunday 27th June

We packed our bags today and made our way home. We all agreed that it was a fabulous holiday, and we can’t wait to go away again soon!
