Wednesday 5th October
Today we decided to relax by the pool, the weather was amazing, and we all got to know each other whilst topping up our tans! Matthew swam a few lengths of the pool while we all watched, he had more energy than anyone else! We had our lunch poolside, and later on we walked to the Marina for dinner, it was a very nice atmosphere, and we enjoyed a lovely evening meal together.

We had an absolutely fantastic night, clapping and dancing to the Greek music!
Saturday 8th October
Today we headed to Dassia and spent the day at the beach. We ate our lunch beside the beach and watched the waves rolling in. Matthew rode a paddle board for the first time. He was really skilled and only came off 3 times, we were all really impressed and cheered him on! Tonight, we let Andrew choose where to go for dinner and he settled on a restaurant called Argo. We enjoyed a lovely meal and met a dog there called Dingo Doy; he spent the evening under our table waiting for any leftover food!
Sunday 9th October
On our way to the local beach this morning, we saw the ‘Durrells House’ that was used on the film set. We actually spoke to the neighbour who was an architect, he told us about his work and is the cousin of the film sets owner, it was so cool! We had our lunch out at a lovely Greek tavern, the food was really tasty. Dal picked where we went for dinner tonight, it was lovely, and the manager sent over a melon sample for us all to enjoy!
Monday 10th October
We went to IPSOS island today, where Caroline decided to buy herself a cup with Corfu on it. Matthew and Andrew tried out a sea swing while we were there, they went really high in the air! Dal found some sunglasses that he liked, perfect for the weather today! Tonight, there was plenty of entertainment at the hotel, Dal got a solo and Matthew danced with the group. We all had a fantastic evening together; it was a very late night!
Tuesday 11th October
Unfortunately, it rained all day today! We braved the tropical weather and made our way to a local cafe where we enjoyed some treats and people watched! Afterwards, we visited a clothes shop that was closing down soon, Catherine bought a jumper that was on sale! Matthew found some swimwear and dog food, whilst Andrew went for a trendy hoodie and new t-shirt.
Wednesday 12th October
We had a superb day today, which started off with an Island tour with Maria. We went to visit a monastery; it was so beautiful, and the grounds were breath-taking. Dal bought his carers a few presents later, Matthew found himself a new t-shirt and Caroline got a new chain, we had a fantastic day!
Friday 14th October
We went to the Governors olive grove today. Although it was raining, we had a great time learning about olives and the oil they were producing. We also had a wine and olive tasting class, what a lovely treat! Finally, we got to sample some olive-flavoured yoghurt which we all loved! We left carrying our certificates to say we had attended and learned about oil and olive growing, we had some great stories and fun facts to bring back home with us!
Saturday 15th October
We caught the bus to Corfu town today and decided to go souvenir shopping. Andrew and Caroline met up with Theo, a dancer from Thomas Bay Hotel. Thei names were Isabelle, Sunshine, Velvet and Sam. Andrew learned how to groom ‘Bella’, before heading into the ring and helping her to exercise and stay healthy! Matthew groomed and mucked out Faine, before getting the chance to ride her, he did really well but it was difficult to learn! Meanwhile, Caroline and Dal enjoyed watching a farrier shoe a horse, it was very impressive. Later on, Matthew went paddle boarding, he was so good at it!
