Tuesday 27th July

Today we met up in Cirencester for our drive to Llandrindod Wells in Wales. We arrived at our hotel which we all thought was absolutely lovely. That evening we had our welcome meeting and got to know each other over a delicious dinner.

Wednesday 28th July

This morning, after a fabulous, cooked breakfast we set off to Blaenavon furnace Sidings Station for a trip on the Pontypool and Blaenavon Railway. Everyone was very excited to ride on the train! Later in the evening we had another delicious dinner at the hotel. It was such a great day, with Stacey saying it was the best holiday ever and she really loved the train!

Thursday 29th July

Today we visited the Talyllyn Railway. We drove through the mountains to get there, and the views were amazing, breath-taking scenery was everywhere! Peter and James managed to take lots of photos. When we arrived, we looked around the shop and museum, it was really authentic as our tour guide was sporting a traditional Welsh dress. Our train trip was fabulous, taking us through the Welsh countryside. We stopped to enjoy some drinks and ice cream before making our way back to Talyllyn, what an amazing day out!

Friday 30th July

We stopped off at a lovely case on our way to the big pit, we had cake, tea, coffee and milkshakes. We really enjoyed looking round big pitt, when we got there it was really interesting to learn how the mine worked. Stacey loved all of the orange boiler suits that they used! James, Nick, Dean and Jack all went into the exhibition to experience what it would’ve been like down in the mine. Afterwards, we went bowling. Dean managed to win with a high score of 103 before we enjoyed a lovely dinner.

Saturday 31st July

Everyone has had a fantastic time and we couldn’t believe that today was our last day before we were due to go home. Today we drove to Aberystwyth to ride on the Vale of Rheidol Railway. It was a lovely ride to the Devils Bridge through the countryside, all of the views have been fantastic! We went for a walk down to see the waterfalls before our train ride back to Aberystwyth.

Sunday 1st August

After our last full English breakfast Kirstine drove us back to Cirencester where we joined our transport home. Everyone agreed that we’d had a fantastic time and that we can’t wait for another holiday with Options!
