Sunday 22nd & Monday 23rd May

We arrived on Sunday evening, tired but happy to be here, and after dinner we got an early night. The next morning, we headed out to explore the hotel and shops. Tracey, Darren and Mickey bought some great hats and Mickey went for a T-shirt as well. We had lunch overlooking the sea then spent the rest of the day in the swimming pool where Sophia and Tracey proved how brilliant they are at swimming underwater. We saw some entertainment in the form of a very good violinist.

Tuesday 24th May

We played darts by the pool this morning and all managed good scores. Tracey, Mickey and Sofia joined in the water aerobics and after that we went for lunch. Later, we had a stroll and paddle at the beach where Mickey bought a new T-shirt. Sophia bought a dolphin to use in the pool and we went back to swim in the pool again this afternoon. Darts again today and Tracey was the winner! We all enjoyed a dance after dinner.

Wednesday 25th May

Today’s destination was the Aquarium where we saw sharks, fish, starfish, turtles and octopus. The group headed to the gift shop where they bought a great selection of souvenirs for friends and loved ones. After dinner tonight we joined in a game of bingo but unfortunately none of us won.

Thursday 26th May

We joined in a game called Poolside today and also got to mess around in the pool with a water pistol. After lunch we visited an ice cream parlour, and each chose a delicious treat. When we got back to the hotel we went to the spa, and all had a lovely back massage. Relaxed and rested, we danced the night away!

Friday 27th May

After playing sjoelen – shuffleboard – we went off to do a little shopping before heading to the beach. Tracey took her new water pistol and proved to have good aim when she sprayed us! Sofia had a go at snorkelling and found a small shell to take home as a memento.

Saturday 28th & Sunday 29th May

It was market day today – the group enjoyed exploring what was on offer and found some lovely things to remind them of their holiday. After having lunch, we returned to the hotel and spent the afternoon relaxing and having fun at the pool. We had a birthday celebration tonight and all enjoyed a great evening complete with cake and Champagne. We were up early the following morning to catch our return flight, and everyone agreed they’d enjoyed a really great holiday.
