Monday 29th November

After arriving and unpacking in our rooms, we all had a welcome meeting and got to know one another. We enjoyed pizza for tea and then relaxed in the lounge with a hot chocolate, watching the Christmas movie ‘A Christmas miracle’.

Tuesday 30th November

Today we went to Cheltenham and did some shopping for presents at the Christmas market. Everyone treated themselves to a sweet treat! After all the excitement of shopping, we enjoyed a delicious pub lunch together. Afterwards, we decided to do a little more shopping and then made our way back to the barn. Later on in the evening, we went Tenpin bowling in Swindon. We had our dinner there and it was great fun, what a great day!

Wednesday 1st December

Today we went to Rover Farm, where we fed the goats and had the opportunity to stroke the guinea pigs and rabbits. They were so cute! We then enjoyed looking at the nativity scene and looking for souvenirs in the farm shop. Back at the barn, we celebrated Christmas Day, we enjoyed turkey with all of the trimmings and had our Christmas puddings. Carole said that “I really enjoyed that meal”. In the evening, we watched ‘The Grinch’ movie.

Thursday 2nd December

Today we visited the Roses Theatre to watch the King Arthur Panto. It was fantastic, and we all found it very funny, it was the best panto we have seen! On our return to the barn, we had a surprise visit from Santa, and he brought us all presents! After dinner we all made our very own mince pies to bring home with us.

Friday 3rd December

After breakfast, we all said our goodbyes and finished off packing our things. We made our way home, and we all said that we’d had a great festive holiday!
