Monday 15th November

Today, after meeting at Cirencester we travelled South, picking up Katherine on the way. We arrived at the Ashbury Hotel late afternoon; we all thought it was beautiful! Once we had checked into our rooms, we unpacked and settled in. To finish off the night we all went for dinner, there was a great range of food in the buffet.

Tuesday 16th November

This morning after breakfast, we all went bowling as a group. Everyone played really well, with James and Philip getting a couple of strikes! Charmain said, “it’s the first time I have ever played, I enjoyed it”. We had a buffet lunch and had a little relax in our rooms before our afternoon activities. The ladies chose to learn how to make candles. We dipped them into the coloured wax before adding cold water (to set the colour), we all made some beautiful candles. Meanwhile, the gents learned how to shoot air pistols. We all met up for dinner and some of us played pool, whilst Katherine, Tom and Jez watched the evening entertainment. James and Philip won the pool match, but Jade and Dean wanted a rematch!

Wednesday 17th November

Dean and the ladies went to the fabric block painting class today, everyone got really creative with their painting. James, Philip and Tom went off to play badminton with Jez, 3 against 1! After lunch, Jade and Katherine enjoyed a relaxing session in the hydro spa. All the gents went to have a go at archery, before playing some virtual football. At dinner the hotel celebrated Christmas, with crackers, jokes, party hats and a lovely roast dinner! Afterwards, some of us headed off to watch the Elvis entertainment, whilst Philip and Dead finished off the night playing snooker with Jez.

Thursday 18th November

This morning, Charmian, Gilly, Dean, Tom and Katherine all made Christmas cards; they were all lovely handmade cards to bring home. Philip, James and Jez played some table tennis. After lunch, Dean, James, Gilly and Charmain made their very own teddy bears, stuffing the bears, putting a heart in and choosing their outfits, they were so cute! Meanwhile, Katherine, Tom and Philip played crazy golf. Later on, after dinner most of the group went to watch the evening entertainment.

Friday 19th November

Today after breakfast, Dean and Charmain made Christmas mugs at the porcelain transfer craft class, whilst Gilly went for a theme of spaceships and trains. Jez, Katherine, Philip, James and Tom played bowls and then chose to go Tenpin bowling. After lunch, James mosaiced a turtle and Charmain an owl. Jez, Dean, Philip and Katherine all enjoyed a relaxing afternoon in the hydro spa. In the evening, it was off to the Manor Hotel for the entertainment.

Saturday 20th November

This morning, Tom, James and Katherine had another relaxed session in the hydro spa, whilst Dean and Philp went Go-Kart racing! Afterwards they joined Charmain and Gilly for another round of Tenpin bowling. In the afternoon, everyone enjoyed watching a movie together. To finish off the night, Katherine, Dean and James had a dance to the evening entertainment.

Sunday 21st November

This morning, Charmain, James and Dean all went to the Bollywood dancing class, they had so much fun learning all of the dance moves! Meanwhile, Philip, Katherine, Tom and Jez all played badminton, before splitting up to play some golf and pool. After a delicious lunch, Gilly, Tom, Dean and James treated themselves to a massage, what a lovely treat! Katherine, Charmain and Philip made some Christmas decorations, and then later Tom, Dean and Katherine went to watch the entertainment.

Monday 22nd November

Today it was time to make our way home, so after breakfast we all packed and headed towards the minibus. We all said that we’d had a great holiday and really enjoyed trying so many new activities, what a great trip with Options!
