Friday 15th April

After a long and hot journey, we all arrived safely at our destination in the Warners holiday site. We went to find our rooms and unpack before heading into the dining room for a delicious dinner! Afterwards, we watched a little bit of the cabaret singing before heading to bed, we were really tired and got a good rest for the busy week ahead.

Saturday 16th April

After a lovely breakfast, we went into the lounge to play loads of different games like ‘play your cards right’, it was really fun! After lunch we played some bowls, managing to win a round each. We had a lovely dinner later on which was followed by a dance. Janet wore her sparkly top whilst Pat bought a pretty skirt, we all had a fabulous time dancing to a Phil Collins tribute band!

Sunday 17th April

When we got to breakfast today, we all had a nice surprise! An easter egg was at our table for everyone, we were really happy. We tried our hand at archery today, it was hard but good fun, we all scored well. Claire. Stephen and Pat had a line dance lesson, whilst Janet and Mick watched and listened to the music. After lunch we headed to the games room, everyone managed to win at least once! We all danced to the band after eating our dinner, Janet even banged on her tambourine to join in!

Monday 18th April

We had a game of golf today, Janet played 4 holes whilst Pat and Steven had fun with the entire 9 holes! Pat and Steven went for a nice and easy stroll around the lake, they saw lots of pretty ducks and swans. When everyone was back, Mick, Steven and Pat spent some more time in the games room, playing some table tennis, ice hockey, snooker and football! Meanwhile Janet and Claire relaxed in their chairs, enjoying a chat and some rest.

Tuesday 19th April

After breakfast we went to visit the Hayling Seaside Railway, where we all got on a miniature train that took us along the seafront. We got off at the end and walked into the funfair, where we had a pitstop drink! We had a nice lunch before visiting a local ice-cream parlour where we all tried something different, it was really nice! We got back in the minibus just in time before it started to rain and spent the evening relaxing and playing games.

Wednesday 20th April

We had a lovely stroll along the beach this morning, then we bought some souvenirs. Pat bought a key ring, Steven decided on a tea towel for his kitchen whilst Janet got a box of biscuits and fudge! We enjoyed our lunch at a seaside cafe before heading to visit the Donkey Sanctuary. There were 23 rescued donkeys living there, and Pat bought a cup with a picture of her favourite donkey on. Steven settled on a coaster of his favourite donkey whilst Claire went for a selection of biscuits, everyone was happy!

Thursday 21st April

Today we had a lesson in shooting a rifle! Pat shot 8 pellets and nearly managed to hit the bullseye! Mick shot really well to, and everyone else had a great experience shooting for the first time ever. Later on in the afternoon, we went into Chichester where we visited the local cathedral, it was very nice. In the souvenir shop, Pat and Steven found a snowy owl which tweeted when its tummy was pressed, whilst Janet got a CD full of music. We had our lunch in the Buttey, a cute little cafe belonging to the cathedral. Our last night together was spent in the restaurant, with a nice meal and good music enjoyed by all.

Friday 22nd April

Today we all set off on the road home. We’d had a lovely week at Warners Lakeside, enjoying some beautiful weather and great company, what a fantastic holiday with Options!
