Sunday 20th March

We arrived late in the afternoon, at the hotel. We looked around to give us an idea of the sort of craft activities we would like to do during our stay. Later, we had a lovely roast dinner and made friends with the other guests who were there.

Monday 21st March

Today we went to the Manor House Hotel to choose our crafting activities. Sarah made a lovely Christmas tree silk screen painting and a tea towel for her sister. Michelle printed a particularly useful tote bag for her shopping. We then chose, paid for and went on to paint some models. Sarah chose a Father Christmas model while Michelle chose a fairy trinket box.

Tuesday 22nd March

After breakfast we went back to the craft centre at The manor House Hotel to continue with our projects. We wanted to collect our models from yesterday so that we could take them home. We may keep them or give them as a gift. This morning we received a Crystal Card lesson. It was quite hard as the gems were very small. Sarah made a Christmas Card and Michelle made a mermaid one. Later, we enjoyed a nice lunch and relaxed in the bar area. After lunch we went back to finish our gem cards. Later in the evening we had a wonderful time as we danced and were serenaded by an Elvis impersonator!

Wednesday 23rd March

Another day of enjoyable crafting at the hotel and Michelle painted a beautiful fairy with silver wings. Sarah chose to paint Christmas themed models to give to her relatives as presents. We saw the Elvis singer in the bar and he came over to say hello! We have made lots of new friends today. We managed to take a few photos with the Elvis singer and his friends before it was time to go to bed.

Thursday 24th March

Some of our new friends left today so, we waved them goodbye after we had eaten breakfast. We then went to the craft centre and Michelle painted a beautiful sunflower while Sarah chose to paint a castle.

Friday 25th March

We finished our projects this morning. Michelle painted a sun face and Sarah completed her Christmas crystal card. After lunch we went to The Manor House to take part in a mosaic activity. Michelle decorated a butterfly and Sarah decorated a picture frame and a notebook. We had a nice dinner and the chef had saved us portions of lemon meringue pie. He had saved it as he knew it was our favourite pudding!

Saturday 26th March

After breakfast, we went to play tenpin bowling. Michelle scored a strike! We played two games and then after lunch we finished off our crafting activities. Later, after dinner, we had a drink in the lounge before going to bed.

Sunday 27th March

Time to go home today and as we left, we said goodbye to the lovely staff at the hotel who we had made friends with.
