Monday 5th September

We met up at the airport today to catch our evening flight to Naples. It was a short flight and before we knew it, we had landed! We made our way to the hotel where we rested up for the night, excited to start our holiday tomorrow!

Tuesday 6th September

We woke up to a very warm Naples! After breakfast we went to the old town for an open top bus tour to see the sights of the city. After lunch we walked to the Piazza Del Plebiscto (public square) to see the Palace and the Cathedral, they were absolutely beautiful! We then walked to the Fountain of Giants, before heading to our pizza lesson. We had great fun learning how to make pizza and finding out where the Neapolitan Pizza came from, what a fabulous day!

Wednesday 7th September

This morning we drove to Sorrento, the views were amazing, so we stopped on route for photo opportunities! We arrived at our hotel and dropped off the car before finding a lovely café for lunch.  After unpacking at our hotel and a short rest (or a drink in the roof top bar!), we made our way to Piazza Tasso for a delicious dinner.

Thursday 8th September

After a short walk to Piazza Tasso, we made our way to the beautiful Cathedral, its architecture was stunning! We then walked down some of the little streets looking in the shops and getting lots of gifts and souvenirs.  After a delicious lunch we walked to the viewpoint for a photo opportunity, before making our way back to the hotel for a cool off in the pool!

Friday 9th September

After breakfast we visited a lemon grove where they grow lemons to make soap, lemonchello and lots of other lemon products. This area is Italy is meant to grow some of the best lemons in the world, they certainly smelt amazing! We all tried the lemonchello too which was strong! We rode the little land train for a tour of the beautiful town, which took us all the way to the port and the beach front. In the afternoon we visited an olive grove to see how they grow olives and make olive oil. We all enjoyed the tasting session of all the different oils, marmalades, and honey that they make. This was Jeremey and Peters favourite day!

Saturday 10th September

Today we drove from Sorrento along the Amalfi Coast. The views were simply amazing, we stopped lots of times to take in the sights and take pictures! The road was very twisty and windy, and we passed through lots of beautiful villages and town; stopping to take the wonderful scenery all in. We arrived at our lovely hotel and that evening we went out for pizza, which was the best in town apparently, but not as good as the ones we made earlier!

Sunday 11th September

As we have had a busy few days, we decided to relax by the pool and recharge our batteries. We soaked up the sun and worked on our tan! In the evening we had a lovely meal of homemade pasta and of course some gelato!

Monday 12th September

Today we visited Pompeii. It was an incredible place and so well preserved, we explored the amphitheatre and lots of the houses and the mosaics! It was a very hot day, so we were glad we had arrived early to get away from the heat of the sun. After visiting Pompeii and enjoying a delicious lunch, we looked around the modern town of Pompeii, its Cathedral was amazing! To cool off in the afternoon we all enjoyed an ice cream, it was a fabulous day!

Tuesday 13th September

After breakfast we headed to the market to get the last of our gifts and souvenirs, before heading back to the hotel to cool off in the pool! We had a delicious dinner at the hotel and a drink in the bar, chatting with all our new friends we have made!

Wednesday 14th September

We were sad to leave the hotel as we have had such a nice time here and all the staff were so friendly, but after lunch it was time to make our way back to Naples for our hotel over night before catching our flight home! We stopped on route for a delicious gelato, our last one in Italy!

Thursday 15th September

We made our way to the airport for our flight home, we all agreed we had an amazing time and would love to visit Italy again soon. What a fabulous trip with Options!
